My passion for golf started when my dad bought me a set of plastic clubs at the age of 6. When I was 8 years old I received a set of junior clubs and spent a lot of time practicing, putting and chipping. I was able to compete in my first US Kids Junior golf tournament at 9 years old. After playing in a few events I experienced my first win.
One of the coolest things about playing in the tournaments was meeting so many kids who also enjoyed golf. I still play in tournaments with them today.
As I continue the journey through the ups and downs of playing competitive junior golf I remain dedicated to becoming the best person and golfer I can be. I believe that my work ethic, motivation, dedication and talent will make me successful in college and provide a great career in the golf profession.
I admire professional golfers like Jordan Spieth, Xander Schauffele and Justin Thomas. I want to challenge myself to become like my role models who have inspired me since my early childhood. Today, I am training to become like one of them. I am practicing and playing in tournaments, gaining strength and flexibility with my gym routine and focusing on other attributes that will get me to live out this dream.
